The Appeal
MG’s mid-engined marvel is rightly having its time in the spotlight as enthusiasts re-evaluate a car that has the heritage and character of a British classic, but is as comfortable and easy to live with as a modern. And here, as if by magic, is exactly the kind of TF we suspect those enthusiasts are hoping to find.
The current lady keeper acquired this car in 2005 and has clearly used it sparingly and treated it really well. With just 23,000 miles clocked up in 22 years, it is in really good condition and checks out well in the usual F and TF areas. The smart X Power Grey metallic shows few marks, and the black leather is equally well kept. It is supplied with a desirable Heritage hard top in matching colour with a heated rear glass screen.
Opening the service book reveals a run of stamps by the same garage. Although the last one was in 2017, the car has covered less than 2,000 miles since. We are told that the belts have been recently replaced and the car fitted with a new air filter. The current MOT runs to August 2026.
The TF sharpened the handling and the looks of MG’s innovative sports car. This very tidy 135 is one of the nicest we’ve seen in a while.
