Jaguar always had that hankering to bring a worthy successor to the E-Type, and their best shot at it by far was certainly the XK. With its nostalgic styling and impressive V8 engine, there was a lot to write home about. The second generation of the car, though, is absolutely the one to shoot for.
With its lightened aluminium monocoque chassis, the new XK was faster and more agile. Practically a dead cert for a modern classic, and comfortably bridging a gap between grand-tourer luxury and impressive performance. It's little wonder that they're still clamoured for today.
