- Low mileage of under 50,000 miles from new
- Desirable ‘black on black' specification
- Carrera 2 S model often considered sweet spot of range
- Much-improved 997.2 with reliable 3.8L flat six and PDK box
- Factory fitted with nearly £10,000 of factory options
- Recent service in 2025 with few miles since
- Current MOT valid to April 2027 with no advisories
The Appeal
The 997.2 looked pretty much like the first generation 997, but, as enthusiasts know, it definitely isn’t the same. A new 3.8L flat six that did away with the notorious IMS bearing makes these later cars considerably more reliable while the introduction of the lightning quick PDK gearbox virtually made manual boxes redundant overnight. Better quality interiors and improved entertainment system complete the package.
For many the sweet spot of any modern 911 range is this car, the Carrera 2S with the more powerful version of the flat six. It is a really stylish and well kept withy ‘black on black’ finish showing few indications of age. It left the factory with close to £10,000 of options including that PDK box, upgraded sounds, sunroof and sports exhaust.
The current keeper acquired the car in 2021 and has continued to use it sparingly, with the mileage still below 50,000 miles. The last service was in July 2025 less than 200 miles ago and the MOT runs to April 2027 with no advisories.
Right model, right spec and in great condition - this is one not to miss.
