The Appeal
A £52,000 premium over the equivalent DB9 meant just 845 DBS Volantes were built. But how lucky those buyers were: lighter, faster and more luxurious than its sibling, the DBS rightly got reviewers around the world frothing.
From its revised carbon-fibre bodywork to the titivated 510bhp 6litre V12, the DBS was as beautiful as it was quick. This low mileage car was one of the last built, a 2012 car finished in Casino Royale-referencing Tungsten Silver with an Obsidian Black interior sporting Carbon Black highlights.
It comes with the provenance, specification and condition that surely any buyer is looking for. Full Aston Martin service history features annual checks - including the all-important 10 year check in 2022, just 1,340 miles ago - and a recent service. There is also a long, advisory-free MOT to February 2025.
Drop top GT cars do not get much more thrilling or exclusive than the DBS. And this is one of the best.

The bar was set high for the DBS: the car it was designed to best, the DB9, is one of the most beautiful GT cars of the last 20 years. Remarkably, this bold gambit by Aston Martin succeeded.
The DBS’ evocative bodywork makes clever use of aluminium and carbon fibre to be both beautiful and light. It certainly won plaudits from reviewers in period for its style.
This car is tastefully finished in Tungsten Silver - a colour that appropriately references Casino Royale-era James Bond - with Obsidian Black interior. Across the exterior and interior the finish is very high, reflecting the low mileage and caring owners. There are few obviously, if any, signs of use. It was highly specified from the factory and the Aston Martin build sheet is helpfully supplied in the history photographs.

The DBS was not just lighter than the DB9, it was more powerful too, adding 40bhp to that car’s already prodigious power. The result is a lightning-quick GT car that can deliver close to 200mph flat out.
Not that this car has ever been driven by that, judging by the condition and history. It comes to market with impeccable maintenance records - always serviced by Aston Martin irrespective of mileage and any issues rectified regardless of cost. The notable history includes the 10-year major service in 2022 - just 1,340 miles ago - and a recent service in February 2024.
The car is usefully standard. It is fitted with a remote-controlled exhaust, a key feature on these cars as the sonorous engine noise is one of the DBS’ calling cards. A long MOT with no advisories to February 2025 reinforces the strong sense of a very well-sorted and maintained car.
