The Appeal

The R172 was the first SLK to get diesel engines, a decision that gave buyers a clever, agile sports car that was as economical as it was powerful. In that sense, it perfectly suits the SLK’s coupe/convertible dual nature.

The Fire Opal Red of this 2013 SLK250 CDI is a stand-out alternative to the more common silver and blacks and is in great order. The alloys were refurbished in 2025, and the tidy black leather interior presents beautifully with its red stitching. The car features the AMG styling pack plus optional Partktronic and rain-sensing wipers.

The vendor acquired the car in 2021 and tells us that it runs well and is very economical. The current MOT runs to April 2027 with a couple of minor advisories to note.
