The Appeal
BMW’s 5-Series estates are proof that you don’t have to sacrifice driver enjoyment when the dogs, luggage and family come along. The F10 Touring is highly praised by owners and reviewers for its mix of economy, comfort, practicality and driver engagement. Unlike the saloon, the five-door is fitted with self-levelling rear suspension, which ensures a good ride even when fully loaded.
As a later 2017 520d SE, this car has the more updated and more powerful B47 2L 190bhp diesel engine that offers a decent mix of economy and performance, particularly on long runs. It is in a desirable colour scheme of Sophisto Grey metallic over cream leather and has clearly been looked after. For a practical car capable of high mileage, it is presented at a really high level. Inside and out, it is really well kept, with few signs of the car’s use or age.
The digital history file shows regular servicing, which we are told has been performed by main dealers and independent garages. The car was last serviced in March 2026, with 11,000 miles remaining before the next service. The MOT history supports the sense of a cared-for car, showing no fails and only a handful of minor advisories over the years. The current test runs to March 2027 with no advisories.
This is a reluctant sale of a very versatile car. We know these cars are popular, and this one is especially tidy.
The vendor says:
“This BMW is in immaculate condition, it's never failed an MOT, it's been serviced regular with a recent interim service completed in March 2026. It is a reluctant sale as I am looking to move into a new place and will not need a car. It's great for long road trips, plenty of space and surprisingly fast!”
This sale is subject to the Car & Classic Terms and Conditions. By bidding and/or making an offer, you also agree to the following:
✓ The seller is registered as a private seller which means consumer rights stemming from EU consumer protection law do not come into effect. However, you are still covered by Car & Classic’s own Terms and Conditions..
✓ We request that a non-refundable fee be paid if you are the lucky winning bidder at auction or if your offer is accepted Please refer to our helpful FAQs and T&Cs for specific rates.

✓ We want a smooth transaction just as much as you do and as such we run all UK-registered cars and motorbikes for sale on Car & Classic through an online HPI check to verify that they show no insurance database markers for damage or theft, and have no finance owing, allowing you to bid with confidence.
✓ We also check whether vehicles are recorded as being written off as part of an insurance total loss claim at the time an advert is placed on Car & Classic and we helpfully provide write-off category labels (Cat C/D/S/N) for your assistance. However, the presence or absence of a label does not guarantee the vehicle’s status and it is always worthwhile carrying out your own full vehicle history check before making an offer on a vehicle.
