The Appeal

Okay, so now we’ve cleared that up - this little charming example we have here is a Courrèges limited edition, of which only 61 were produced to buy. Courrèges is a French fashion designer, who had a hand in designing this particular limited run chose black paint, a striking white TEP interior, a new hard-top and side window design, suave grab-handles, and a numbered plaque on the passenger side of the dashboard. 

The History and Paperwork

• Built and registered on 2018
• Only driven 8,000km from new
• Registration paperwork is current and with the vehicle 
• New technical inspection carried out recently on the car
• Tyres are original
• 3 original keys with keychain (chip to open the car by the windscreen
• The electric battery actually comes with the vehicle - in most of these E-Mehari’s the battery is rented out at a set cost per month, but not with this example. It has been purchased outright at an expense of around 5,000 EUR

The Interior

• Striking white TEP upholstery remains in fabulous condition with no signs of any damage. The TEP material allows the seats to be hosed down in the event that they get dirty from some beach-going adventures.
• Dimpled floor mats are in good condition with no holes or rips
• Steering wheel is well presented with no wear to be noted on the leather, and the stitching remains untouched
• Centre console remains completely functional with a Pioneer head unit for any of your musical needs, and the digital display located in the centre of the dash is easy to read and functions flawlessly.
• Gear selector buttons (yep, buttons) remain functional and easy to read too.
• Door cards show no signs of damage to the plastics, and the Courrèges designed strap handles remain in lovely condition with no colour transfer or wear.
• The rear seats are in fantastic condition, appearing almost unused as to be expected with a car with such low mileage as this.
• Rear cargo area is clean, minimal signs of use with light scratching on the tailgate plastics but nothing to moan about here!

The Exterior 

• Original black paintwork, specific to the Courrèges edition E-Mehari’s, in nice condition with no notable damage
• Plastic trims all appear well maintained with no signs of fading, no cracks and no unwelcome scratching
• Headlights remain functional and free from damage, as are the indicator lenses and DRL’s
• Original Citroen emblem remains front and centre in like-new condition
• Removable windows are all in lovely condition, and can be fitted back to the car with ease
• Removable roof is in great shape with no damage to be seen
• Removable tailgate is very much the same, in fantastic shape with no quibbles to be had
• The new roof design on the Courrèges model of the E-Mehari has much improved soundproofing over the basic models, and has also been noted to do a much better job at keeping out the elements
• All four wheels appear to be nicely kept, and the diamond cut finish is still in good condition with no sign of any lacquer peel. There are some very gentle marks on the drivers side front, but you have to be up close and personal to notice
• Courrèges logos on the B-Pillars
• Rear lower tailgate in great condition with the original Citroen badging and model designations, with a “styled by Courrèges” to ensure everyone knows your buggy is as suave as can be.
• Rear light clusters remain in gorgeous condition too as to be expected

The Mechanics 

• With the 67hp Electric motor, the E-Mehari is a collaboration from Citroen and the Bluecar SAS in France
• Mechanically well sorted being only 5 years old with low mileage
• Recent technical inspection carried out and valid until 01/03/2025
• Electric battery is owned, not rented - these batteries are usually rented out at a rate of 89 EUR per month, however this particular model owns the battery outright, at an eye-watering cost of 5,000 EUR
• Air-conditioned model, an extremely rare extra that cost around 1,000 EUR
• Steering is reported to be as good as new, and actually a rather fun little car to throw around thanks to the low centre of gravity and relatively light weight
• Brakes are reported to be sharp and responsive
• Battery is in great condition and is always stored correctly, holds its charge at 100% with no problem
• The new owner has warranty till end of march 2024 for repairs and assistance special for E-Cars also for the batterie
