The Plus
The B14 was a new type of Citroën with a light and well thought-out chassis. It was available for just two years from late 1926 in a range of spacious body styles. Many were then converted into versatile commercial vehicles including, as here, 'Boulangère' pick-up trays.
This 1927 B14F model has had a fascinating existence. At one point it was grey and fitted with flag and rifle racks. It then appears to have been adapted with the practical pick-up rear body that it retained. Records show only four registered owners.
A full restoration in the early 1980s covered the chassis, bodywork and electrics. In 1991, the engine was replaced with a newer B14 Gavoc engine due to the failure of the original B14F unit. Since then, it has been used for various rallies and classic car events in France. Today, it is in a condition that enthusiasts of these charming vintage vans will be delighted to find. The older restoration has aged well and this vehicle has a gentle patina with plenty of character. It looks ready to go, and ready to please its new owner.

- Registration certificate shows first registration on 1 January 1927

- Handwritten inscription next to the driver in the cab dated 20 March 1940 indicating a mileage of 54,282 km
- We are told it was previously painted grey with two flag and rifle brackets

- The vendor reports that the vehicle is registered as a truck and not a van and that this may require updating.
- He also points out that the vehicle is exempt from roadworthiness testing due to its age
