The Appeal
If you think the 2CV is quirky on four wheels, then the eccentric Falcon Tri-Car takes things to a whole other level, except on three. Conceived as a simple-to-build kit car using tried and tested 2CV mechanicals, the Tri-Car is a guaranteed conversation-starter wherever it goes, and fun on any drive to get there.
This 1990 Tri-Car is a really smart example, finished in green and yellow, which could well be a sly nod to the car’s Lotus Seven aesthetics. It is in good condition and surprisingly practical too, equipped as it is with two comfortable-looking bucket seats and a small rear boot.
The last MOT ran to December 2025 and shows no advisories. The car has covered barely any miles since, so refreshing it and hitting the road this Spring should be straightforward.
