The Appeal

Porsche’s engineers persevere. The original 924 was good, but its evolution into the 944 created a proper front-engined alternative to the iconic 911. The final cars got more power and a proper convertible arrived.

This 1993 S2 Cabriolet is one of the very last built and appears to have led a very cossetted life in the hands of just four keepers, the current one since 2012. They have amassed less than 83,000 miles. Throughout its life the servicing and maintenance have been kept up to date, the book showing a regular run of stamps.

In 2022 the car was treated to a comprehensive restoration that covered letting in new metal to the bodywork where needed, repainting in the original mid-blue metallic, retrimming the interior - in matching blue leather - and overhauling the mechanicals.

With few miles covered since all that investment, here is a chance for the buyer to capitalise on someone else’s endeavours. This is a very tidy example of the much sought-after S2 - complete with 5spd manual box - and with nothing for the buyer to attend to.
