The Appeal
The R170 Special Edition gave 500 UK buyers an elevated specification including bespoke alloy wheels, Nappa leather, aluminium interior trim and Nappa leather. To that, the first keeper added arguably the peach of the engine range - the supercharged M111 190bhp 2.3L motor. It’s powerful and yet economical too.
Alongside that lengthy appeal, this car adds an exceptionally low mileage of under 14,500 miles, accrued by just two keepers in its 23 years. The previous keeper was a marque collector. Many little-used cars have also been barely maintained. Not so here, the service book showing a run of 12 stamps to June 2025. The MOT also runs to June 2026 and contains no advisories.
With its specification, maintenance and mileage, this car sits well above the usual R170s.
The vendor says:
“It was the first all round roadster, can use it every day if you want to or you can save it for special occasions.”
