The Appeal

For the £280,000 purchase price of this Brabus K8 in 2003 you could have had a Ferrari 575M or Aston Martin Vanquish and still had plenty of spare change. But would you really want to? With just six K8s sold in the UK, it makes those rivals look mass-market while its Mercedes build quality puts them firmly in the shade.

Then there’s the performance. The K8 got a Brabus-tuned, factory-built version of the AMG 5.4L Supercharged V8 in the SL55, with power hiked to 530bhp. Acceleration was, and is, horizon-crushing: 60 mph arrives from standstill in 4.4 seconds.

Just six K8s were sold here in RHD. This silver 2003 example has clearly been looked after and properly cherished, as its very low mileage of under 28,000 miles indicates. We’re told the history file shows regular maintenance and servicing throughout its life. It comes to market with a lengthy advisory-free MOT to May 2026.
