Lot 1003 in the October 8-9th auction being held by Harper Field Auctioneers:
1964 Jaguar E Type Series 1 RHD 3. 8 manual fixed head coupé matching numbers classic car with Webasto sunroof, registration number TRA 49, with V5c showing two owners from new. Purchased by the vendor's family in 1978 (receipt on file) with 74, 000 miles recorded, it has been dry stored and there are invoices for work including stainless steel exhaust system in 2001 and a Coopercraft brake overhaul kit. We understand that the car was also resprayed in its factory colour around 20 years ago. Offered with its transferable cherished private number plate, fitted cover and a box of spare parts including an electronic ignition distributor. The front picture frame, cylinder head and engine block all match the main data plate. The odometer currently records 18313 miles, fewer than 1, 000 miles more than the 17, 454 miles recorded at its 2006 MOT, and the history showing the car had a current MOT for most but not all years since, with the last expiring on 29/ 10/ 2018. The car has seen minimal use in recent years but is starting, running and moving around our site happily, however it would benefit from further checks and servicing.
