The Attractions

The Flavia was launched at the 1960 Turin motor show to bridge the gap in the Lancia range between the exclusive Flaminia and the cheaper Appia. As expected of a Lancia, it featured many innovative features, with an aluminium opposed-cylinder engine, Dunlop disc brakes, independent front suspension and, of course, front-wheel drive.

If you are looking for a restoration project with great potential, this 1965 Flavia Coupé represents a very interesting opportunity. It is a particularly coveted version, with a 1.8-litre engine, and is fitted with a carburettor rather than the more complex fuel-injection system. As shown in the photographs, the car needs a lot of work, but it is very original and complete and appears to be basically solid.
