The Appeal

Produced for only one year, specifically for the North American market, the Triumph TR250 was essentially a TR5 fitted with carburettors rather than fuel injection. These simpler powerplants make for a classic choice compared with the complex Lucas mechanical injection systems, and American imports are often well preserved.

This example stands out for its full chassis-to-body restoration in 2015/2016 while retaining its original specification with matching numbers. Finished in the period Conifer Green with a black interior, it offers an authentically classic driving experience without modern electronic aids or electric assistance. This TR250 is regularly used and presents well, supplied with its hood, hood cover, and extensive documentation, including restoration photos and invoices.

The Mechanical

Inline six-cylinder, 2.5 litres
Both carburettors (2 CD2 175 Stromberg) rebuilt by a specialist at the end of 2022
Four-speed manual plus reverse
Replacement of shock absorbers, brake pads, all bolts and other necessary parts
Replacement of the wiring loom
Minor defect identified during inspection: rear brake imbalance
Starts well and revs freely
Good compression and oil pressure present
The car will be delivered with the original engine and several spare parts
