The Appeal

Nothing on wheels has ever had quite the impact of Henry Ford’s original Tin Lizzie. By putting wheels beneath the world, the Model T ushered in a social revolution. No surprise that good examples remain in demand with collectors, thanks to the model's simplicity and reliability.
This 1923 tourer has the slanted front windshield and easy-to-operate top fitted from this model year. It is a really smart example that was restored before the seller acquired it a year ago. It remains in very good order, with just a few light points for buyers to note in photos. The work is said to have included refurbishing the top, new paint and a retrimmed interior. The detailing is impressive, including the wooden spoked wheels with their classic Wards Riverside tires.
The car has an electric starter and is said to run and drive well.
The seller says:
“The engine is the original engine. It starts very easily with the electric start and runs very smoothly
“I love driving it when the top is down on a lovely fine day. When you get used to driving it, which takes a little while, it is very enjoyable. The reaction you get from the public and other motorists is so satisfying, it makes it a pure joy.”
