The Appeal

The Ford Model T had been in production and on the market for a remarkable 18 years, and was beginning to look rather long in the tooth. It was this that prompted the creation of its successor - the Model A. It was an update across the board - for one thing, the Model was capable of reversing!

Despite the swathe of updates and modifications, though, this was still an exercise in design for mass-manufacture, and the Detroit workbelt was soon in full vigour. Nearly five million were built over its five years on the market.

This handsome green car was imported from the USA in 1993, and has seen a peaceful life of car shows and hire-outs. Indeed, we're told it acted as crowd car in Genius, starring Colin Firth, Nicole Kidman and plenty of other big-time names. It's a beautifully presented car with plenty of period character.
