The Appeal
The Rex 350 Sport represents a fascinating chapter in Scandinavian motorcycling history. Built in Sweden during the late 1920s, Rex motorcycles were lightweight, purposeful machines that used respected British proprietary components to compete with the likes of BSA and Norton in the popular 350cc class. The Sport specification brought higher compression, sportier handlebars, lighter mudguards, and a tuned exhaust, all aimed at club racing, reliability trials, and fast touring.
This particular 1928 example is powered by a well-regarded combination of JAP engine and Burman gearbox. The vendor states that everything has been rebuilt. Very few Rex motorcycles from this era survive, making this a genuinely scarce find that should appeal to collectors of vintage Scandinavian machinery and pre-war motorcycling enthusiasts alike.
