A rare surviving example from the now-defunct Ardie marque
Pre-war German motorcycle approaching 90 years old
Comes with German papers
The Appeal
Ardie, the Nuremberg-based motorcycle manufacturer, produced well-regarded machines from 1919 until its absorption into Dürkopp in 1958. The RBU 350 Waldläufer, translating to "Forest Walker", was among the firm's popular touring models of the 1930s, powered by a side valve engine and featuring a four-speed gearbox, a notable specification for a motorcycle of this era.
Surviving pre-war Ardies are genuinely scarce, making this 1937 example a compelling prospect for collectors of vintage German motorcycles. The accompanying German papers should assist with registration and documentation. For enthusiasts of inter-war motorcycling or those drawn to rare and lesser-known marques, this Waldläufer is a special little thing.WhatsApp Image 2026-05-10 at 19.13.03 (2) Magnus Kihlstedt.jpeg387.14 KB
