The Appeal
Thanks to its quirky, characterful styling by Sixten Sason, the 93B arrived on the market in 1955, and quickly became a very popular fixture in Europe. They were a keystone in the compact car market - and much like the Fiat 500, only grew in popularity when they brought in a more luxurious trim with the De Luxe specification.
The Saab 93 would go on to enjoy great rally success, and a good example is now highly desirable - especially in this handsome blue livery. This 1959 example is a genuine barn find that comes with its original registration document and bill of sale.
The car has benefited from thoughtful attention to its bodywork and paintwork, with the wings and sills redone whilst carefully preserving the patina that offers so much character.
This is very much a project requiring mechanical attention, with the vendor noting that the hydraulics, exhaust, and cooling circuit need work, and the car requires servicing overall. However, front and rear suspensions are supplied with the vehicle, and the engine does start. If you fancy an unusual project to kick off 2026, this is a grand opportunity. 1959 SAAB 93b-3 LEDIEU CLEMENT.jpg4.58 MB
