Highlights

  • Previously owned by the same family for over 60 years
  • Desirable right-hand drive two-seat roadster specification
  • Restored approximately 15 years ago by respected marque specialist Ben Gerber
  • Finished in quintessential Healey Ice Blue over Navy Connolly hides with deep pile lambswool carpeting

The Appeal

The BN7 is the rarer two-seat roadster variant of the Austin Healey 3000 and among the most sought-after of the Big Healey lineage. With its muscular six-cylinder engine, overdrive-equipped transmission, and purposeful open-top styling, it occupies a special place in the pantheon of British sports cars.
This particular example has been in the same family for over 60 years, a remarkable provenance that speaks volumes about the regard in which it has been held. Approximately 15 years ago, it was subjected to a comprehensive restoration by Ben Gerber, a well-regarded Austin Healey specialist and historian. The seller states the car is as good underneath as it is on top, describing it as on point and correct in all details, and likely one of the finest BN7 Roadsters available on the market today.
The seller reports that it drives well, with the overdrive engaging smoothly and the big six-cylinder engine proving well suited to long-distance cruising. Brand new period-correct 165R15 Classic tyres have been fitted on chrome wire-spoke wheels, ensuring it is ready to be enjoyed.
