The Appeal

The Lamborghini 2R is one of the earliest tractors to bear the Lamborghini name, produced just a year before Ferruccio turned his attention to sports cars. Today, these machines are highly prized by collectors of Lamborghini heritage, and examples in restored, complete condition are seldom offered for sale.

This 1962 example is reported to be a matching-numbers unit equipped with every option that was available at the time, including a high-speed gearbox, original rear linkage, four hydraulic outlets, and PTO. A comprehensive restoration was carried out a few years ago, covering both bodywork and mechanical components. The vendor states that the engine starts and runs well and that the tractor drives as it should. A notable finishing touch is the miniature tractor incorporated into the headlight, a detail that collectors will appreciate.
