The Appeal
The early Morris Mini needs little introduction. With its ingenious Issigonis layout, this compact, front-wheel-drive car was characterful, lively and practical in equal measure. To this day, the original 848cc Mini remains one of the most significant cars of the twentieth century, and certainly among the most iconic. Early examples are increasingly prized by collectors and enthusiasts.
This 1963 example, finished in Fiesta Yellow with a Powder Blue interior, has been in the current vendor's care since June 2010. The car was off the road from approximately 1990 to 2009 before being recommissioned by the previous owners, and it has been in general use ever since. The vendor has carried out gradual improvements throughout their ownership without extended periods off the road. It is accompanied by a paper trail including the original buff log book and historic MOT certificates, and it holds a current MOT valid until February 2027.
