Highlights
- Older mid-1990s restoration in a pretty Old English White with red leather
- Rare six-cylinder C‑roadster in very good condition
- Extensive history file of photos, invoices, and MOTs dating back many years
The Appeal
The C finally delivered what buyers wanted—a MG with more power. Borrowing a derivative of the BMC C‑Series as used in the Austin Healey 3000 provided a 50% power boost and a car that was comfortable and practical over long distances in a way the 3000 often wasn’t.
This very pretty 1968 C was discovered in a barn in the mid-90s by a previous keeper and subsequently extensively restored to a high standard. Now finished in the popular combination of Old English White with red leather, it is a proper head-turner and one in great condition.
We’re told that the extensive history file includes photos of the car from the 1970s and invoices and MOTs dating back about 30 years. It is said to run and drive well. The C adds the power that the B always needed — here is a chance to sample a fine example.
