The Appeal
The 1969 Chevrolet Corvette C3 Stingray is one of the most iconic American muscle cars in history. This was a pivotal year in Corvette's repertoire, too, bringing in distinctive styling changes that were exclusive to this model year, including the removal of door handles and the addition of "Stingray" script to the fenders. A sleeker, more stylish rendition of an already space-age car. This particular example stands out with its rare one-year-only Riverside gold paint finish, too. In 1969 the Apollo 12 astronauts were presented with Stingrays which were finished in riverside gold.
As a convertible model equipped with the sought-after manual transmission and correct Rally wheels, this Stingray is the quintessential muscle car at its best. The combination of the powerful 350bhp V8 engine, open-top Miami-styling motoring and those achingly-cool pop-up headlights - it's a winning formula. Not one to miss!
