The Attractions
The Economic Miracle profoundly changed Italy, and one of the most important changes was the sudden exponential increase in the spread of cars. Many Italians were finally able to discover the freedom and fun offered by cars, getting behind the wheel of cheap, mass-produced cars that became affordable for the masses.
The perfect example of this phenomenon is the Fiat 500, which literally revolutionised the country when it was launched in 1957. Aesthetically pleasing, agile and easy to drive, it made its simple and spartan layout one of its main strengths; but as its popularity and diffusion increased, buyers demanded more complete equipment and a more accurate and elegant finish. This led to the birth of the 500 L - the Lusso - in 1968.
This example of the 500 L is in excellent condition, having received a complete restoration in recent years. It has had only four owners since new and is a ready-to-drive, solid and very well maintained car with a sunroof and new leather-coloured vinyl interior.
