Highlights
- Older restoration including full respray in attractive light blue
- Very little used since completion
- Current keeper since 2013 and always dry stored
- Pretty and tidy example of these perennially popular classics
The Appeal
Any Beetle is a treat for the car enthusiast, particularly the first-time buyer, because these cars are as robust as a VW should be and as characterful as any four-wheeled classic.
The later models, like this ‘69, tend to be more usable, and this one would make a great starter classic or even a daily driver. The vendor bought it in 2013 and MOT records indicate it has barely covered 300 miles in the intervening time. That means that the car’s extensive restoration, including a full respray in attractive light blue, remains in great condition. That is helped too by the fact that this car has always been dry stored.
We are told that the 1.5L flat four starts and runs well. Due to the sparing use and storage, buyers may wish to factor in some checks and perhaps a service.
The vendor says:
“Starts on the button and runs correctly factory standard no faults known. Great to drive typically of model.”
