The Appeal
We love the Fiat 500 Giardinieri, but if it’s possible, and we realise this may upset some people, Autobianchi’s elegantly named Bianchini Panoramica is prettier. It certainly has a better name. Contemporary buyers seemed to agre, with 275,000 leaving the Desio works up to 1970.
This beautiful two-tone turquoise-and-beige Panoramica was likely among the last to leave the factory. The colour scheme shows off Luigi Rapi’s crisp lines, while inside there is a tardis-like caramel interior with many original features.
The photos do suggest a lot of work has gone into delivering what you see. What is less visible are the overhauled suspension, steering and brakes and the new exhaust. The car also sits on new tyres. It is said to run and drive very well with no issues. It has been recently serviced. Added reassurance is provided by a lengthy Revisione valid to June 2027.
For those looking for a stylish alternative to the more common 500, but with the same reliability and easy parts supply, this Panoramic will surely be tempting.
