The Appeal
An evolution of the highly successful Frogeye Sprite, the MG Midget offered open-top thrills to the masses. Compact, nimble, and full of character, the Midget offers a pure driving experience that continues to attract enthusiasts. They make a wonderful hill climb car, with myriad ways to add performance to that venerable A Series engine.
This 1970 example has been in the care of its current owner for approximately 20 years and underwent a comprehensive restoration approximately 16 years ago. The bodywork was stripped to bare metal and professionally repainted with 2-pack paint both above and below, while the interior received equal attention: the seats were recovered, and the dashboard was refinished by a specialist firm. Since the restoration, the car has been used sparingly and only on dry days, preserving the quality of the work carried out. The vendor describes the exterior as in delightful condition and the interior as in beautiful condition, while the car is mechanically reported to be in very good order and to drive well.
This is a Midget that has clearly been cherished rather than simply stored, and it presents an appealing opportunity for the next custodian.IMG_2318.JPEG4.15 MB
