The Appeal

Introduced in 1960, the Toyota FJ40 was the third generation of the company's 'Light Duty' Land Cruisers, and is arguably the most familiar - becoming the best selling Toyota product internationally, and soon being prized by many enthusiasts even over the likes of the Jeep and the Land Rover. It was rugged, powerful, and loaded with character - practically purpose built for the budding explorer.

This particular 1970 model has been extensively restored by a well-known restorer in Indonesia, who has seemingly gone over it with a fine tooth comb to bring this cruiser to its best. With only 165 miles on the odometer since its restoration, it's practically fresh out of the workshop.

Having recently undergone a full service including new plugs, leads, oil, filters, and a new distributor cap and rotor arm, this impressive 4x4 is ready and waiting to drive away, with its current (and first) MOT valid until November 2024 with no advisories.

Ultimately, this may be one of the best FJ40s we've come across - and it's well worth your attention.
