The Appeal
When a classic car comes to market with a voluntary MOT you know it’s a sign of a fastidious and careful keeper. In the case of this pretty 1970 TR6 it’s just the starting point for exploring a much-historied and very well-maintained fuel-injected car.
Classically finished in British Racing Green and detailed with chromed steels and a very tidy wood-lined interior, this TR6 checks out well in the areas enthusiasts will want to look over. The vendor tells us that the chassis is “probably the straightest out there.” That appears to be verified by that MOT, which runs to March 2027 with no advisories.
Recent invoices from 2024 show that £10,000 has been invested via Project Heaven Restorations. The very long list of work includes attention to the engine, brakes, propshaft and servicing. We’ve provided copies of the invoices in the photos so that buyers can check the details. The vendor states that the car has covered less than 100 miles since this work was done.
We’re told that the engine has been rebuilt at a cost of £8,000 and has covered few miles since the work was done. The engine has been tuned and balanced and the all-importnt electrics overhauled to ensure everything works correctly.
This is exactly the kind of classic that you hope to find - one that is in great shape and where someone else has spent all the money. Here’s a chance for the buyer to capitalise on that investment.
