The Appeal
Tiny in stature but enormous in character, few cars capture the spirit of post-war Italy quite like the Fiat 500. The 500 remains one of the most recognisable cars in history, thanks to its diminutive size, lively character and simple, air-cooled mechanics. It quickly became synonymous with post-war Continental Europe, and the arrival of the Lusso brought in an improved trim for the more discerning motorist.
This particular example has been comprehensively restored and has been garage-kept throughout its life, which has clearly helped preserve its condition. Finished in the Fiat 500's near-quintessential Rosso Red, over a Black interior, the vendor states it is in very good condition both cosmetically and mechanically. The interior has been refreshed with new seats and carpet, and a new battery has been fitted. The vendor reports that the driving experience is pleasant and that the car is ready to be enjoyed straight away, with its Revisione valid until September 2028.IMG-20260917-WA0264.jpg3.14 MB

This sale is subject to the Car & Classic Terms and Conditions. By bidding and/or making an offer, you also agree to the following:
✓ The seller of this vehicle is registered as a business seller. And you are covered by Car & Classic’s Terms and Conditions.
✓ We request that a non-refundable fee be paid if you are the lucky winning bidder at auction or if your offer is accepted. Please refer to our helpful FAQs and T&Cs for specific rates.
✓ This vehicle is “Sold As Seen”, on an “As Is Where Is’ basis and without warranty. Photos and descriptions are solely for guidance purposes and it's customary to carry out a full inspection of the vehicle prior to purchase for your own peace of mind.
✓ VAT is included in the buyer's fee. VAT may or may not be included in the final bid or offer price, as specified in the listing.
✓ We want a smooth transaction just as much as you do and as such we run all UK-registered cars and motorbikes for sale on Car & Classic through an online HPI check to verify that they show no insurance database markers for damage or theft, and have no finance owing, allowing you to bid with confidence.
✓ We also check whether vehicles are recorded as being written off as part of an insurance total loss claim at the time an advert is placed and we helpfully provide write-off category labels (Cat C/D/S/N) for your assistance, the presence or absence of a label does not guarantee the vehicle’s status and it's always worthwhile carrying out your own full vehicle history check before making an offer.
✓ Buyers are responsible for vehicle collection
or delivery. Importing vehicles may result in additional customs duties and import taxes so it's worth checking beforehand. It is the bidders responsibility to confirm import eligibility prior to purchase.
✓ Unless stated otherwise, you must assume that any cherished, personalised, or heritage vehicle registration is not included in the sale of a vehicle.

Thanks for your previous reply.
It seems to me that Italian regulations require the vehicle to be deregistered for export (radiazione per esportazione) before the vehicle leaves Italy.
Do you handle this formality which requires temporary registration plates and the provision of export documents?
Thanks in advance.

Hello,
I notice that this vehicle, although from 1971, isn't equipped with seatbelts; it therefore cannot be driven in France as they're mandatory for vehicles after the end of 1967. Are you planning to fit them?
Thanks in advance.
