The Appeal
Introduced to the world as a European counterpart to America's legendary Mustang, the Capri brought a sporty stage presence to the party with nimble performance and a glamorous silhouette. For many, it was their first coupe, and to this day it may be one of the most celebrated British classics of the era - it's little wonder it's still turning heads and garnering plenty of attention more than fifty years later.
This 1971 example has been in the current owner's hands for approximately 18 years, during which time it has been garage-stored and maintained as needed. The bodywork has undergone a thorough restoration encompassing replacement fenders, rocker panels, and floor pan sections, followed by a complete repaint in the original color.
A history file accompanies the car, with service and parts invoices and MOT certificates charting the car's life over the years. It's a retro classic that ticks plenty of boxes!image.png5.93 MB

✓ We also check whether vehicles are recorded as being written off as part of an insurance total loss claim at the time an advert is placed on Car & Classic and we helpfully provide salvage category labels (Cat C/D/S/N) for your assistance. However, the presence or absence of a label does not guarantee the vehicle’s status and it is always worthwhile carrying out your own full vehicle history check before making an offer on a vehicle.
