The Appeal

Usable, reliable and with unrivalled club and spares support, the MGB is the classic car that somehow escapes the traditional classic car foibles. This smart ‘71 adds a classic British Racing Green and tan colour scheme, plus desirable factory overdrive to the car’s long list of attributes.

Since 2011 the car has been lavished with investment. Notable highlights include a retrimmed interior with rebuilt seats in tan leather, new roof and an overhaul of the cooling system. The vendor acquired the car last year and tells us that he has fitted a replacement alternator, new choke cable, rear axle U bolts and repaired the cooling fan bushes. The overdrive sump has also been cleaned out.

This is a tidy and very usable B that looks very comfortable for long-legged, overdrive-assisted runs.
