The appeal
The Alfa Romeo 2000 GTV, dressed in the famous coupe bodywork designed by Giorgetto Giugiaro for Bertone, represents the culmination of the 105 series. Powered by its 2.0-litre double overhead camshaft four-cylinder (twin-cam), paired with a five-speed manual gearbox, the 2000 Veloce delivers a superb balance of performance, driving feel and elegance—an appeal that still endears it to enthusiasts and collectors alike.
This 1973 example, presented in its original navy blue colour, was acquired with the intention of taking part in the 2020 Tour Auto. Substantial mechanical preparation was then carried out, as evidenced by more than €30,000 in invoices. More recently, in November 2023, the car underwent a body restoration accompanied by a repaint.
The interior has also been refreshed. Original Ferrari front seats have been fitted, while the original Alfa Romeo seats are included with the car.
With French registration in the collector’s series and an MOT valid until June 2029, this carefully prepared Bertone coupe appears ready for the road and for prestigious regularity events—particularly the Tour Auto, for which it is still likely eligible.
