The Appeal
With its legendary Twin-Cam and elegant proportions, the 124 Sport Spider was always bound to become a desirable classic. The handsome Pininfarina styling is as timeless as it is quintessential with the car's era. Tom Tjaarda fed the car plenty of charisma in every panel, creating a curvy bug-eyed machine that felt way above its station. The CS1 is a particularly collectable early variant, with just 778 examples produced.
This example has benefited from a thorough mechanical and electrical overhaul, with an extensive list of new components fitted. The bodywork was restored some years ago and given a sporting character with matte black hood panels and auxiliary lights, all of which now sits proudly on Campagnolo alloy wheels. The interior presents with some age-related wear, and the soft top — believed to be original — shows signs of its years.
