The LPK608 has proved an excellent basis for this build, not only because it boasts distinctive retro fire engine looks, but also because its underpinnings are legendary amongst commercial vehicle aficionados. Powered by the inimitable OM314 engine, the vendor remarks that it starts every time and drives very well.

Undoubtedly, the fact this example was used and maintained by the Polish Fire Service until 2017 has aided its preservation and we can report that it remains in very good condition for a vehicle of its age. The business side of the build has been tried and tested over two summers, serving cold beer to summer festival-goers without any issues.
