The Appeal
The Triumph TR6 is widely regarded as one of the most desirable British sports cars of the 1970s. With its muscular Karmann-designed lines, its generous torque six-cylinder engine and rewarding driving experience, it remains an unmissable favourite amongst enthusiasts who appreciate authentic open-air motoring.
This 1975 example, originally from the United States, has been in the current owner's hands since October 2020 and has received considerable attention during this period. The bodywork is said to have had the rear panel, wings and sills refurbished or replaced, whilst inside, the carpeting, upper dashboard pad and door trim panels have been renewed, the wood veneer has been refinished, and a new mohair hood completes the restoration.
Mechanically, the car is said to have been completely overhauled, with the braking, cooling and heating systems renovated and numerous suspension and steering components renewed. The seller rates the mechanical condition as new and describes the braking as very good. Unmodified and stored under cover, this TR6 presents well and appears ready to be enjoyed.
