New Webasto sunroof, vinyl roof and tan leather interior
Serviced and maintained annually since purchase 10 years ago
Used very sparingly by seller during once/year visits to UK
The Appeal
The XJC was Sir William Lyons' passion project. He envisioned a relaxing four-seat grand tourer to rival the best from Europe. Perhaps he knew it would be the last Jaguar to benefit from his direct design and development input because it took time to get the details like the pillarless windows absolutely right.
Built in small numbers for just three years, these beautiful cars are amongst the rarest Browns Lane products of the last 50 years. Just 2,606 RHD 4.2L XJ6 left the works, including this lovely Regent Red example. We're told that it is a low-mileage car which was acquired by the current keeper 10 years ago. Since purchase, the seller has used the car just once a year on trips to the UK, yet ensured it has been annually serviced and maintained.
We are told that the car has never been restored; however, alongside routine attention, it has received some useful investment. It was resprayed in the original color eight years ago. The vinyl roof, Webasto sunroof and tan leather seats were replaced more recently. Thanks to the sparing use and dry storage, each element continues to present very well.
Described by the vendor as a good, usable and presentable car, this XJ6 Coupe offers an appealing blend of style and usability.image.png4.17 MB

This sale is subject to the Car & Classic Terms and Conditions. By bidding and/or making an offer, you also agree to the following:
✓ The seller is registered as a private seller which means consumer rights stemming from EU consumer protection law do not come into effect. However, you are still covered by Car & Classic's own Terms and Conditions..
✓ We request that a non-refundable fee be paid if you are the lucky winning bidder at auction or if your offer is accepted Please refer to our helpful FAQs and T&Cs for specific rates.

✓ We also check whether vehicles are recorded as being written off as part of an insurance total loss claim at the time an advert is placed on Car & Classic and we helpfully provide write-off category labels (Cat C/D/S/N) for your assistance. However, the presence or absence of a label does not guarantee the vehicle's status and it is always worthwhile carrying out your own full vehicle history check before making an offer on a vehicle.
