The Appeal
If this Flamenco B's history file is any guide, it has been highly cherished throughout its 49 years. A vast array of invoices, handwritten notes, tax discs, MOTs and handbooks document a long list of work covering mechanicals, trim and body fittings.
Recent work has included a new clutch, alternator and pair of calipers. There is also an invoice indicating it was serviced in 2022. That work suggests a car that runs and drives well. A typed list of work dated from the late 1990s indicates the engine was rebuilt in 1997 and the car received a partial restoration.
Today the paintwork is in fair condition with scope to improve. The structure and bodywork are shown, with a few points for buyers to note. Inside, the cabin is in good condition with a pair of leather seats replacing the original 'deckchair' fabric items.
This is a nice, honest rubber bumper B that benefits from a long list of mechanical maintenance. There is scope to take it cosmetically to the next level, or perhaps just enjoy one of classic motoring's open-top greats.
