The Appeal

Does anything say ‘summer’s here’ quite like a Beetle convertible in sunrise yellow? We’ll let the photos of this stylish ‘77 example answer that.

It is a USA specification model, so comes with the desirable - and reliable - fuel injection system fitted to North America models. The previous keeper acquired it soon after it arrived here in 1990, retaining it until mid-2023 when the vendor acquired it.

The yellow paintwork is completed by a matching set of Minilite-style alloys and a black vinyl interior, featuring the more comfortable USA-specification high back seats. A huge history file attests to the care of that long term keeper and the current one. It comes with a useful pile of spares that the vendor values at £1,000.

Although exempt by age, it is a mark of the current keeper’s approach that this Beetle comes to market with a useful MOT to April 2026. That adds transparency and reassurance for the buyer of this sunniest of sun-worshipping convertibles.
