- Desirable overdrive-equipped specification
- Lots of recent work to brakes, ignition and fuel system
- Only six registered keepers from new
- Low reported mileage of 40,200 miles
The Appeal
The simplicity and honesty of MG’s venerable B explains why it remains so appealing to classic fans. These are stylish, rewarding cars that are about as easy to own as a modern thanks to excellent parts supply and rugged reliability.
The later ‘rubber bumper’ cars like this one got improved quality and cabins and are perfect for enthusiasts who want a classic they can jump in and enjoy. This Pageant Blue car looks like it would do that perfectly, helped by a long list of mechanical work undertaken by the current keeper since he bought it in late 2024.
The car appears to be an older restoration that is in good, usable condition. There are points to note across the body, but this car makes no claim to being a show queen - it’s a B to drive and enjoy. The recent work has attended to the brakes, ignition and fueling systems and results in a car that we are told runs and drives well.
The vendor tells us that the displayed 40,200 miles is correct, although that isn’t verified. With its Rostyles, front spoiler and original fabric interior, this overdrive-equipped B roadster is ready for summer.
