The Appeal
The Innocenti Minis developed out of a need to get around the Italian government's centralised production policy. Without it, the Issigonis-designed city car would have been egregiously expensive, and to give them credit...Innocenti added quite a continental flair. The Innocenti Minis were quite handsomely trimmed compared to its British counterparts, featured a distinctive grille and even sliding windows. With a total production of just 43,000 units compared to the 5,300,000 British Minis, these Italian-built variants are considerably rarer and more sought after by collectors.
This 1969 MkII example showcases the Innocenti-exclusive Giallo Ocra livery, recently resprayed to a high standard, and plenty of investment in recent years. It's a fabulous example of a highly desirable variant of one of the most iconic classics of all time, requiring only minor work to be brought up to fabulous order.
