Manufactured in 1976, registered in Northern Ireland in 1979
The Appeal
Built in limited numbers to fund MZ's factory entries into the International Six Days Trial, the MZ 250 is a rare machine. These competition-derived bikes offered genuine off-road capability straight from the Zschopau factory, celebrating MZ's success at the International Six Days Trial. With reportedly only around 20 produced each year over a roughly ten-year production run, they've never been rarer - or more desirable.
This 1976-built example, registered in Northern Ireland in 1979, was fully restored approximately thirteen years ago and has since been dry stored as part of the current owner's collection for around eight years. The vendor states it is in full running condition, with new tires and fresh number boards recently fitted in tribute to the late Hans Weber, who competed in all of MZ's World Championship years.
It comes to us with its original green log book, an old tax disc, and the current V5 document.image.png5.39 MB
