The Appeal

Battista Pininfarina's magnificent design, the particularly influential "coda tronca" styling and the "Nord" four-cylinder engine all contribute greatly to the enduring appeal of the Alfa Romeo Spider. But, in true Alfa Romeo fashion, these cars are far more than just a list of specifications: this DNA brings something special to their handling and the pleasure they deliver to driver and passengers alike.

This 1982 example, now presented in silver with a black interior, is among the last cars of the Series 2. It therefore benefits from the 2-litre engine and original interior with its distinctive twin-gauge instruments. It has had only five owners in 44 years and is understood to have had an engine bottom end overhaul. The seller acquired it in June 2026. Since then, the car has been garage stored when not in use and receives regular maintenance, including an oil and filter change. It comes with an MOT valid until April 2028.

Some signs of wear are evident, notably slight chassis corrosion at the rear and on the right side, superficial non-structural corrosion on the right wing and lower sill area, and a small scratch on the left wing. The car remains presentable nonetheless. It could suit an enthusiast keen to enjoy their Spider whilst progressively improving its cosmetic condition.
