The Appeal
A kit car lets you indulge in some of the more unusual and interesting designs on four wheels. CMC’s popular Gazelle is one of the most distinctive kits ever sold, one inspired by the beautiful 1930s Mercedes SSK. Equipped with reliable mechanicals, these cars are eye-catching in ways few four-wheeled vehicles can match.
As this 1982 Gazelle proves. It is finished in white with burgundy wings and a matching four-seat interior, completed with deep-dish alloys on chunky tyres. Beneath the sculpted bonnet is Ford’s dependable 2.3L Pinto engine mated to a 4spd manual box.
Having passed through just three former registered keepers, it holds French collection registration. The car will require a service and possible further attention to obtain a valid Contrôle Technique. The bodywork, paintwork, and interior show age-commensurate wear with minor imperfections, consistent with a car that has been previously restored and subsequently enjoyed on the road.
