You can spot a truly great restoration a mile off. They just look right. This BMW R80RT is one of those cases.

The R80RT was one of the most capable and comfortable touring motorcycles of its era. Powered by BMW's renowned air-cooled 798cc boxer twin and paired with shaft-drive reliability, its purposeful full fairing made it a favorite among long-distance riders. These machines have earned a devoted following for their mechanical simplicity, durability, and timeless styling.

This 1983 example was restored during the UK's COVID lockdown and is presented to a very good standard. It is said to run and ride very well, starting easily, with all instruments and switchgear functioning correctly. Currently in its second year of ownership, it has simply not been getting the use it deserves: an honest and well-presented R80RT that is ready to be enjoyed.
