The Appeal
Well-regarded as one of Mercedes-Benz' most elegant cars, the W123 is a handsome pillarless coupe that garnered a reputation for rock-solid build quality and reliability. Indeed, such is their longevity that many of them ended up working happily in less-developed economies when they were considered obsolete in Western markets.
Nowadays, it's a definitive retro classic, and is continuing to attract more and more recognition amongst enthusiasts. The performance is smooth and solid, the styling spot-on, and the interior ticking all of those exec-chic boxes. It's also still eminently usable and makes for a fine, practical city car.

This 1983 example was purchased in August 2019 and has since undergone an extensive restoration encompassing bodywork, mechanical components, interior and glazing. Having covered only a few hundred miles since, it's now ready and waiting to go. If you consider yourself a loyal Merc buff, this is a great avenue to get behind the wheel.

Can you confirm the automatic gearbox having 3 gears?

SellerThe car is registered in Ireland. If the car is to move to the UK I assume it would need to be registered as per the regulations there. It was previously registered in the UK with registration RYR844Y
