The Appeal
Whether you’re planning a 2026 long distance road trip, or just fancy some stylish wheels for weekend trips out for Sunday lunch, a good R107 fits the bill. Handsome and extremely comfortable, they make driving effortless. And all that’s before we mention the Teutonic build quality.
This Signal Red R107 is fitted with the 2.8L M110 straight six motor. It’s a good choice because at 185bhp it’s usefully powerful, yet offers decent real-world economy for those aforementioned trips. It is in good condition, particularly the smart beige MB Tex cabin, and benefits from lots of recent work, including welding repairs.
Despite now being MOT and tax exempt, it comes with the useful transparency of a long, advisory-free MT. With the choice of hard top or folding fabric roof, this is a versatile, usable and well-presented example of one of classic motoring’s perennial favourites.

✓ We want a smooth transaction just as much as you do and as such we run all UK-registered cars and motorbikes for sale on Car & Classic through an online HPI check to verify that they show no insurance database markers for damage or theft, and have no finance owing, allowing you to bid with confidence.
✓ We also check whether vehicles are recorded as being written off as part of an insurance total loss claim at the time an advert is placed on Car & Classic and we helpfully provide write-off category labels (Cat C/D/S/N) for your assistance. However, the presence or absence of a label does not guarantee the vehicle’s status and it is always worthwhile carrying out your own full vehicle history check before making an offer on a vehicle.
