The Appeal
If the BMW 6-series was the cream of the crop in 1986, the M635CSi made excellent use of the formula. Boasting a 3.5-litre straight-six engine offering an impressive 286bhp through a Getrag 5-speed transmission, it's a refined sort of saloon that had genuine performance under the bonnet. They're well worthy of their reputation - a delightfully analogue piece of pure 80s nostalgia.
This 1986 UK-registered example has recently emerged from eight years of careful garaging, during which it received a £10,000 refurbishment and recommissioning, bringing it back to road-ready condition. Prior to that, the car had undergone a restoration that included fitting new front wings, and it's now running on its second engine.
Ready and raring to go, with plenty of scope for further restoration if the buyer so pleases, this handsome car is an eminently drivable classic that's perfect for the dedicated enthusiast. image.png1.6 MB
